Welcome: The Future is Now! Global Educational Opportunities through Developing Technology

The first Joint IADR/ADEA Videoconference Symposium will demonstrate two common types of videoconferencing as it brings together dental education researchers from Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and Malmo, Sweden with the IADR/ADEA participants in San Diego. Presenters from these remote sites will join the presenters in San Diego to interactively discuss the power and potential of technology, specifically videoconferencing, as it applies to dental education and research. Presenters will discuss their experiences using videoconferencing, the World Wide Web and other technologies and share the lessons they have learned. Demonstrations will be included whenever possible. The symposium will help others to improve their use of technology in education and research.
