Chromatic Differences Between Four Coloring Liquids For Monolithic Zirconia By Spectrophotometry
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the chromatic differences bewteen 4 coloring liquids for monolithic zirconia by spectrophotometry. Methods: A descriptive, in vitro study was carried out where 80 monolithic zirconia veneers were milled in CAD / CAM and were divided into 20 veneers for each commercial house. They were divided into 2 groups of 10 to evaluate the colors A2 and A3. The trademarks to be evaluated were Amann-Girrbach, Origin Chroma, Zircos-E and Yeti. The veneers were submerged following the manufacturer's instructions, then they were sintered. The color of the veneers in the middle third was measured using a spectrophotometer. We proceeded to glaze the samples to again measure the tones and be able to evaluate differences after the glaze. Results: The average of ΔE with the liquid of Amann-Girrbach A2 was 6.06 (DS) ± 0.38 nm and the tone A3 10.57 (DS) ± 0.65 nm. The liquid Zircos-E tone A2 represented an average of ΔE of 14.69 (DS) ± 0.481 nm, while the average ΔE of the tone A3 was 14.46 (DS) ± 0.53 nm. Chroma A2 obtained an average of ΔE of 15.09 (DS) ± 0.40 nm and the tone A3 14.22 (DS) ± 0.76 nm. The average of the Yeti A2 liquid was 17.16 with a (DS) ± 0.57nm. The A3 tone of the mentioned commercial house had an average of ΔE 21.14 (DS) ± 0.63 nm. Conclusions: In the present study, significant differences were found when evaluating the variation of the color according to the finish of the glazed crown.
