Sticophus Hermani Collagen and Hydroxyapatite as Bone Substitute on Fibroblast
Objectives: The purpose of this research is to investigate the effect of Sticophus Hermani collagen and local hydroxyapatite as bone substitute material on the toxicity of fibroblast cells. Methods: The collagen extract is done by separating using chloroform and methanol 1:1 The Toxicity test was done on fibroblast cells culture media with MTT Assay. Fibroblast cells were counted using trinocular microscope. The data is analyzed using one way anova. Results: The result is a significant difference on number of live fibroblast cells after 24 hours exposure between group of dose.
Conclusions: Sticophus Hermani collagen and local hydroxyapatite as bone substitute material has no toxicity on fibroblast cells.
