Keynote Address: Seven Things About Orofacial Pain – a Selective Overview
Body: Orofacial pain has during the last several decades evolved significantly due to more and better research projects and more extensive international and interdisciplinary activities. Despite the progress in the field of pain, several challenges remain for the orofacial pain community. In this overview, examples of advances in basic neurobiology, taxonomy and classification, diagnostic tools, underlying pathophysiology, and management protocols will be presented and discussed with potential implications for the future avenues of orofacial pain research.
