Being Masked the Color of the Metal Core by Resin Cement?

Objectives: In this study, we explored whether can do with a dental adhesive resin cement and CAD-CAM crown for hybrid resin block, the color tone of the metal core masked by resin cement.
Methods: Prepare the five groups of sample, which of metal objects and using various adhesive resin cement to test, and it is compared by the value of spectrophotometer Crystaleye (OLYMPUS).
The sample metal cut to 1.0MM and 1.5MM thick with GC’s product CERASMART resin block, another was sandblasted cast adjusted to 1.3mm thickness and the same size. Thereat examine if the metallic color can be shield by 100 microns thick cement mantle, ellaborated by various adhesive resin cement, and the following results were obtained.
Results: Amongst, the sample case of GC’s G-CEM CERASMART of the both 1.0MM 1.5MM thickness shows the best score as ΔE is minimized as 2.08, 1.09 respectively, compared to VITAPAN Classical shede as a control.
Conclusion
Conclusions: By appilication of adhesive resin cement that is interposed between the metal core and CAD-CAM crown for hybrid resin, and consequently shielding the metallic color is successful.
