Results:
All the students agreed that HIV/AIDS patients can infect dental workers. There was no significant difference between the males and females for HIV related knowledge. However, female students had better attitudes (62.16±18.1) than their male (51.54±14.7) counterparts towards HIV/AIDS. Knowledge on HIV/AIDS was significantly different between the students of different years with those in 4th year presenting better score (23.87±5.5) than 2nd (16.56±3.7) and 3rd year (55.98±17.5) students.
Conclusions: Many students had basic knowledge on HIV/AIDS but very few were aware of the advanced information on HIV/AIDS. Most of the students had poor attitudes towards HIV/AIDS
