Method: It was study exploratory, descriptive and cross-sectional that performed with the sample composed by 174 Brazilian dental students coursing different periods. It was used an instrument constituted by two parts divided in social and demographic questions and MBI-Student Survey.
Result: among 174 students participants of study, 112 (64.37%) were female and 62 (35.63%) were male. There was no significant difference between dimensions of Burnout and the gender, professional efficacy and the period whose the students were coursing. The undergraduates that are in preclinical period showed average higher in the two first item of scale (Emotional Exhausting, Depersonalization) average lower in the third item (Professional Inefficacy) in relation to those that exercise clinically the dentistry
Conclusion: the students didn’t show Burnout Syndrome, considering the presence concomitant of its tree dimensions. The level of emotional exhausting had significance, suggesting that in the future the development of Syndrome. There was correlation among three levels of Burnout and the preclinical period.
